Happy Mother’s Day!

Here is the photo used for my May column in B-Metro Magazine, along with the out takes I promised I would post. My daughter was, and always is a good sport and I appreciate her sense of humor. I did not know she had pretended to knock it back until I saw the proofs. Is she trying to say that I am driving her crazy?

Disclaimer: No minors, or, more importantly, no martinis, were harmed in the making of these photos.

Cheers!

“High in Heels ~ I’m Tripping!” #FreeGift: Oxygen Mask

In anticipation of my big birthday coming up, I’m taking a walk down memory lane on a sole searching journey through my first 50 years. I am reminded of just how important a role my shoes have played in my self-development over the years. In fact….

I love shoes, I always have. And, I really love stilettos. Thankfully, my husband does, too-on ME! Very early in our marriage, in order to convince him to support my shoe habit, I knew that I would need for him  to have a shoe fetish. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. The pair I wore the other night, though, was almost too much for him for so little on me. But, I honestly think it was the sticker shock that left him gasping for air. I had to remind him that the higher the heel- the higher the price, and I couldn’t decide if the Oxygen Mask that came as the “FREE GIFT” was for me to use when I wore them, or for him when he found out how much they cost. Either way, we were both fighting over it, and I really do feel that when a pair of shoes cost that much they should throw in an extra mask.

I have a feeling I’m going to be needing that mask more than ever as the big day arrives!

Post Show/Book and Blues

Post Show/Book Blues

I always seem to forget about the “Blues” that come on after a show is over, and this time was no exception.

We had a fantastic run of our show “Feminine Hyjinx” with all three shows selling out! In fact, we are bringing it back to the stage in January by popular demand! I will keep you posted, so check back here for updates. We had so much fun-it is a privilege to make people laugh-so a BIG THANK YOU to all who came out to see and laugh with us-XO!

I went straight into rehearsals after just getting my youngest child off to college, so when it was all over I really felt the “Empty Nest”. AND-to make matters worse-my book manuscript was being read, so I had nothing to do-so I got sick! So, now you are all caught up.

I really missed my book. I missed coming to my desk first thing every morning and writing, editing, working on it. Never fear, though, it’s back with lot’s of notes, so I am back at it. Any other writers out there experience that same thing? Post Book Blues? I’d love to hear from you that have.

Blonde is the cure for the blues (blacks & grays, too!), for me, so my hairdresser put the smile back on my face and twinkle back in my baby blues- She brings light to the dark places.

I’m looking forward to the holidays coming up & my daughter coming back for Thanksgiving for her visit home, and will update here more often. Hope to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping in~Sunny:) xo

Sunny & Blonde!

Sunny & Blonde!

Just checking in here to keep in touch, and to make sure I remember how to do this! I find that if I don’t do something consistently, at least at first, I can’t remember how to do it, especially if it involves the computer, to much consternation of my family, which implies I frantically call out to them for help, but about which I will remain silent.

Anyway-it’s been a very productive week. Rehearsals for our show “Feminine Hijynx” are going well, learning lines, and songs, staging, etc. I’ve gotten great feedback on my book from some people who are reading it, so that’s exciting! Can’t wait for it to be finished and published so I can share it with you guys. We had a wonderful photo shoot a couple of weeks ago with the super talented team of pros and got the first five photos for the book shot. Got so many great shots it will be hard to choose! We are in the planning stages for the next shoot and then one more-whew!

Two of my favorite things that have happened recently: I bought a new dress-a Lauren by Ralph Lauren-which I LOVE! I bought it for the B-Metro Magazine Pink Party, benefitting Breast Cancer Awareness. It is blue. But, hey, I was still wearing pink-no one said you had to be able to see it! The other thing, and most important is: I got my hair done! It is truly cause for celebration! I’ve been under a hat for the last five days. No more-I forecast it will be Sunny and blonde! At least for the next five weeks!

Share the Laughter!~Sunny:) xo

P.S. Still working on getting this site finished~Thanks for patience:)
