A Picture Perfect Christmas Card!

For Everyone that is feeling just like me: I am sure that everybody is relaxing this Sunday afternoon, with your house and tree completely decorated and all your shopping done, and your gifts all beautifully wrapped, and your twenty dozen cookies are baked and delivered and you’ve finished your work-out and showered and your hair is fixed and your perfume is on and your wearing your sexy silk evening gown, and sipping some fine wine while you are lying on the sofa by the firelistening to some Christmas jazz with dinner simmering on the stove (a little something you whipped up from Southern Living), and you have nothing left to do and so you’re beginning to feel a little bored; May I suggest you settle in to read my column in this month’s B-Metro: The Magazine of Metro Birmingham Living ? I’m About to Take It All Off!

They’re Heeere!

I am so excited that my long awaited book is finally here-and I can’t wait to share it with everyone! Tomorrow will be a bit revealing-as I will be dropping the wrap and coming out from undercover.

I will say, that if it hadn’t been for my husband believing that the essays that I have written for B-Metro Magazine needed to be in a book for more people to enjoy, that it would never have happened. Self-Publishing is much more involved than I can get my head around so this is really a collaborative project that I owe mostly to his efforts (not unlike our almost 29 year marriage-ha!). So, on behalf of my husband, I hope that tomorrow you will check back here for the big reveal and click on over to Amazon and get yourself a copy of my new book, and that it gives you a laugh or two for the day. Post Show/Book Blues

I always seem to forget about the “Blues” that come on after a show is over, and this time was no exception.

We had a fantastic run of our show “Feminine Hyjinx” with all three shows selling out! In fact, we are bringing it back to the stage in January by popular demand! I will keep you posted, so check back here for updates. We had so much fun-it is a privilege to make people laugh-so a BIG THANK YOU to all who came out to see and laugh with us-XO!

I went straight into rehearsals after just getting my youngest child off to college, so when it was all over I really felt the “Empty Nest”. AND-to make matters worse-my book manuscript was being read, so I had nothing to do-so I got sick! So, now you are all caught up.

I really missed my book. I missed coming to my desk first thing every morning and writing, editing, working on it. Never fear, though, it’s back with lot’s of notes, so I am back at it. Any other writers out there experience that same thing? Post Book Blues? I’d love to hear from you that have.

Blonde is the cure for the blues (blacks & grays, too!), for me, so my hairdresser put the smile back on my face and twinkle back in my baby blues- She brings light to the dark places.

I’m looking forward to the holidays coming up & my daughter coming back for Thanksgiving for her visit home, and will update here more often. Hope to hear from you!
