I’m thrilled and honored to be featured in Nashville Voyager Magazine’s Inspiring Stories!
I hope my story of being a “Late Bloomer” and discovering that I was funny at the age of 47 and pursuing my career as a comedienne later in life will inspire you on your journey of self-discovery. It is never too late to find your passion and live your truth in this one and only life we get!
If you feel like this 13th month of 2020 has you down and you need a little laugh – check out this #senditbacksaturday column of mine for @bmetromag ~ Still so funny! AND, my mom gave me a new Fitbit for Christmas this year.
Hope you get a chuckle. We can always use more laughter in our lives. 😂💖
Baby, It’s Cold Outside ~ especially if you are a woman over 50!
I had soooo much fun performing this funny twist on this classic Christmas song! I think we put a really funny and unexpected twist on the ending! It was part of my show “An Invisible Woman” and our take on this song was a perfect fit. And, I had so much fun working with Shawn! I know this song has taken a few hits in recent years but I still think it is fun and flirty just as it was intended. I hope you enjoy this comedic version and that it gives you a laugh and some much needed holiday humor! ~ Sunny
Today is International Women’s Day! A time to celebrate and support women of all demographics, and that includes women 50 and over. If you listen to what society has to say about us, this group of which I am proud to call myself a member, you would think we completely disappear once we turn fifty.
So, in honor of this day of celebration I am excited to share with you my newest comedy video spoofing this message. You have to keep your sense of humor about life and if you are a member of this group of very active, accomplished, passionate, involved, smart, beautiful and vibrant women, and are feeling as if you are being overlooked and not really being seen anymore, then this video is for you and I hope it gives you a few more laugh lines! ~ Sunny 🙂
In honor of my most recent birthday I shared some thoughts on being a “Woman of a Certain Age” in my latest column for B-Metro Magazine.
In just about every area of life from media, entertainment, fashion, beauty, music, you name it, once a woman reaches the age of fifty she seems to completely disappear from society. Only the advertisers seem to be able to find me! They are constantly letting me know that they have the remedy to my “aging problem”. And, of course I fall for it every time! I’m always trying every product they pitch. No matter what, though, I still seem to get another year older. And, for that I am grateful. So, here’s my “Testimonial of a Woman Over 50”. I hope it gives you a laugh line! ~ And happy birthday to all the women turning invisible this year! Welcome to the club! #aninvisiblewoman ~ Sunny
I am thrilled to be debuting my new comedy variety show this October at the lovely, historic Virginia Samford Theater in Birmingham AL. If you are in the area I hope you will come “see” me! Click here for tickets and info. ~ Sunny xo
