I am thrilled to let you know that I will be at Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday April 21st, 2023 as the opening entertainment for The Women of True GRIT Conference. This inspiring event will feature some of the incredible women whose stories have been shared in author and entertainer, Edie Hand’s newest book “Women of True Grit”.

The Women of True Grit series is a collection of stories about women who have overcome incredible barriers and achieved greatness in their lives. These stories come from women in all walks of life including the worlds of business, entertainment, science, medicine, education and, healthcare.

Make sure to get your tickets to this exciting event to hear the personal stories of resiliance and triumph by such amazing women as NASA’s Lakiesha Hawkins, Deputy Manager of the human landing system program assisting in putting the first woman and the first person of color on the moon and Miles College’s first female president, President Bobbie Knight.

The event will benefit students and women in the community to feel empowered in areas such as resilience, leadership, confidence building, entrepreneurship & storytelling. Ticket sales for this event will benefit the women students of Miles College and their scholarship program.
